CRA Annex VII: build a reviewable technical file

Connect product context, risk assessments and evidence without treating a draft as certification.

Start with the product version

Keep the product description, intended purpose and design information attached to the version being reviewed.

Make evidence traceable

Link risk assessment, cybersecurity measures, testing, update and vulnerability-handling records to their sources. This prototype checklist is not an exhaustive interpretation of Annex VII.

Review before relying on a draft

Missing documents remain visible. The manufacturer must review the applicable requirements and conformity procedure; an exported file is not approval.
